The Riverside Chamber Arts Duo: Cello and Piano
When: April 7th at 5:00 p.m. at Kenan Chapel
This remarkable chamber duo recital features celloist John Illingworth and pianist Florance Aquilina. Both exceptional musicians play with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra as well as performing together as the Riverside Chamber Arts Duo and with the Southport Chamber Players. John holds a degree in cello performance from the University of Wisconsin and has played professionally with many orchestras in Wisconsin and North Carolina.
Pianist Florence Aquilina holds a Music degree in Piano Performance from Eastman School of Music and a Master of Music degree from the University of Alabama. She has taught music at several universities here and abroad. Along with her current activities with the WSO and Southport Chamber Players and other chamber music performances, she is a piano teacher and serves as an evaluator at piano performance festivals.
Included in this wonderful duo recital will be compositions from Beethoven and Rachmaninoff.
The concert begins at 5 p.m. Complimentary tickets are required and will be available at the NE Branch of the New Hanover County Library on April 1st.
